چکیده
Background: Allergen sensitization, symptom severity, pulmonary function test, and bronchodilator response are important in the diagnosis treatment of asthma. However, relationship between these factors remains unclear. Objective: The objective this study was to investigate aeroallergen sensitization asthma function, among pediatric patients with bronchial Methods: This a prospective where 155 aged 7–18 years old were recruited from Outpatient Clinics. Patients who met inclusion criteria proceeded spirometry skin prick test. Results: There significant degree wherein 100% had one or more aeroallergens. Among children, 106 (68%) polysensitized. polysensitized group severe persistent severity profile (p<0.001) worse (p<0.001). frequency abnormal pre-bronchodilator lung higher than monosensitized A positive children as compared Sensitization Dermatophagoides farinae, pteronyssinus dog correlated impairment both large airways distal small while cat, cockroach, horse only (p<0.05). sensitized D. pteronyssinus, cat Conclusion: Polysensitized asthmatic profile, reversibility group.

Unilateral Pulmonary Artery Agenesis (UPAA) is a rare congenital anomaly during the 4 th week of gestational age. It is defined as an absence of pulmonary parenchyma and its supporting artery. A 9-year-old girl was admitted to our hospital because of chronic cough. Chest examination showed a decrement in lung sound of right hemi-thorax with expiratory wheeze. Chest radiography (CXR) revealed a...

متن کاملcorrelation between symptom score, wheeze, reversibility of pulmonary function tests and treatment response in asthma
asthma management is a major concern because some asthmatic patients either do not respond or else hardly respond to treatment. therefore in the present study, an attempt has been made to determine the predictors of treatment response in asthmatic patients. thirty six asthmatic adults including 13 male and 23 female were studied dur¬ing a 3 month treatment period. asthma symptom score (ss) and ...
